Laughing So Hard It Hurts

Day By Day by Chris Muir:

I'm sure this is somewhat unfair, but I'm still ROTFLMAO.

More substantively, see Howard at Oraculations on Able Danger here, here (committee) and here (Pentagon).

Comments:
except the "wall" existed a long time before Gorelick (40 years) and was re-affirmed by Bush in August of 2001.

Yes, but it was greatly strengthened in 1995.

Obviously we will always walk a fine line between protecting individual liberty and protecting our nation.

If 9/11 had never happened, we would all be a lot happier and no one would have to deal with this issue. But it did and we do. Some (like the people having fits about subway searches) are unwilling to see that.
I rather doubt that Hillary Clinton is one of them, but many Dems are.

I thought this cartoon was so funny because it points up our national failure to confront what happened, as the Able Danger news is making clear. Our 9/11 Commission didn't grapple with the real issues. The attacks could have been prevented.

I don't think one can fairly blame either party for the failure, but we can all blame ourselves if it happens again.

And I am not happy about the Pentagon's program, but it turned out to be the right thing to do. So we, as a nation, either sit down and discuss what really happened and what we could do about it or we will find ourselves saying "Why does this always happen to me?" next time.
