The Riot's Afoot In France
Another night of terror for France. While the authorities are hopefully pointing out that things are getting better, it appears that protecting vehicles is not enough:

Rioters defied a state of emergency that took effect Wednesday, as they looted and burned two superstores, set fire to a newspaper office and paralyzed France's second-largest city's subway system with a firebomb.It's only a matter of time before they start burning apartment buildings and the people inside them. It's not as if this is happening only in one area. The firebombed subway was in Lyons, but there were severe incidents in Grasse and Toulouse:
However, the number of car burnings -- a barometer for the unrest -- dropped sharply, suggesting the movement lost steam. Overnight Tuesday to Wednesday, youths torched 617 vehicles, down from 1,173 the previous night, national police spokesman Patrick Hamon said. Incidents were reported in 116 towns, down from 226 the night before.
Arsonists also set fire to the Nice-Matin newspaper's office in Grasse in the southeast Alpes-Maritimes region, national police spokesman Patrick Reydy said.Pity the French police. They are criticized if they act with determination to suppress the violence and criticized if they don't. Do you think these burning examples of French idealism didn't like something the newspaper had printed? I do.
Youths threw gasoline bombs at police who retaliated with tear gas in the southern city of Toulouse, where Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy was visiting, LCI television said.

Our media don’t like the Catholics and as they despise the ordinary French people, they did not want us to put 2 and 2 together.If any of us were living in France, we'd probably feel a bitter wrath against this group of people. I can't imagine that there isn't going to be a lot more discrimination against immigrant populations after this.

We had to wait 7 days before they spoke about “Islam”. All the while, our Jak Ben Chirak remained silent. When he deigned to speak, it was to say that we, French people, were responsible, because we have not fully accepted the “immigrants”. I do not know where this man is living! Naw, why make a big deal out of a subway and a newspaper office? And as for throwing Molotov cocktails at the cops, well, the cops shouldn't be "provoking" them!
