Gulfport Struggles Out Of The Rubble

The Salvation Army is providing 30,000 meals per day for the hungry. On Saturday, 43 truckloads of ice arrived in Harrison County, as well as 62 truck loads of water and 15 truckloads of military Meals Ready to Eat (MREs).
By today, 2,500 portable toilets should by in place, according to Col. Joe Spraggins, Harrison County's civil defense director....
"Fuel in many ways is the most immediate, urgent issue," Gov. Haley Barbour said at a press briefing Friday.

It's all stacked in Parks' apartment and a cook-out with the chicken wings was planned on Friday night.

Davis said supplies from the community have been hard to get because the distribution points are far away, if they can even find out where to go to begin with.
