Dr. Kamau Kambon And The Protocols Of The Elders of Zion Vs Thomas Klocek

Below in my blog I discussed the case of Thomas Klocek. Just to further the point I made there about what types of free speech are considered protected on college campuses these days, I would like to introduce you to Dr. Kamau Kambon, a.k.a. Professor Kill-Whitey.

You might perhaps be interested in an earlier perspective on Dr. Kambon's views, especially on Jews. UNC-TV ONLINE has an interview transcript with Dr. Kamau Kambon from the 2001-2002 broadcast season. First you should understand that Dr. Kambon owns a bookstore, and in this interview he is plugging some of the interesting books on black history that he carries and recommends to his customers. In this segment, we learn that our esteemed professor suspects that Israel attacked America:
Kambon: Well yes, there are many, many books out on the New World Order. One is by William Still, The New World Order. One is Behold a Pale Horse. There's another book out now that's very hard to get now called The Immaculate Deception: the Bush Crime Family. So I think as an African in America, we really have to look at the panorama of possibilities about this. It could have been the American government itself in order to go to the Mideast to get the oil, and also simultaneously, to use FEMA-the Federal Emergency Management Act-to suspend the so-called laws that exist now to accelerate the incarceration of black people. There are over two million black people in the prisons of America, there are over two million people and of the two million, one million eight hundred thousand are black people. This means that they were arrested. That doesn't mean they were guilty of crimes. There are many possibilities and I think that people that come in the store, even if I'm wrong about this suspicion-that it may not have come from outside-it could have been the Israelis. If you read The Protocols Of The Learned Elders Of Zion, it gives you some ideas that it could have been the Israelis. But even if we're wrong about all of this, then it's good to think alternatively.
Especially if your alternative resources are fabrications, right? Increases the book sales, that's for sure! He's got his statistics wrong on the prison population too (under 600,000).

UNC-TV is a public TV station licensed to University of North Carolina, by the way. From its vision statement:
We will enable North Carolinians to learn from original content that is distinct, essential, and culturally diverse. We will be a catalyst to effect change and address the critical needs of North Carolinians by uniting with partners to solve educational and social problems. We thereby will make a difference in people's lives and improve the quality of life in our state. The power of these partnerships will create better-informed, better-educated, and more prosperous people. Our unique, easily accessible programs and services will be used and treasured by citizens, educational institutions, public service organizations, and state government for helping them achieve their goals.
I guess anti-Semitism isn't one of the "social problems" UNC wants to solve. On their website they did insert a tagline referring readers to information about The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, but that's not what was said in the studio, is it? Please read the interview.

Quoting from the above-linked essay about the Protocols:
The war that the Nazis waged against the Jews was not just a war of physical annihilation. It was an international war of propaganda to convince the rest of the world of the evils of Judaism. One of the primary weapons that the Third Reich used for this international effort was a forgery known as "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion." It is claimed that the Protocols are the minutes of a meeting of Jewish leaders at the first Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland, in 1897, in which Jews plotted to take over the world. The Protocols are a complete forgery most of which was copied from an obscure satire on Napoleon III by Maurice Joly called "Dialogue aux Enfers entre Montesquieu et Machiavel" ("A Dialogue in Hell Between Montesquieu and Machiavelli").
Isn't it just so nice that all the hard work of Goebbels is so lovingly preserved at the University of North Carolina and passed on for posterity?

See, for example, this cached page of 2004 courses at North Carolina State University and the newer version in which Dr. Kambon's name no longer appears. He was teaching MDS 240 and 241.

Comments:
Disgusting. And I pay taxes in NC.

I really do believe in free speech. Of course, I believe in the right of people to speak freely against such ideas as well.

My objection is that I don't think the college authorities do grant that right. Free speech is an all-or-nothing thing. It can't be selective.

I thought you'd be so proud....

But don't feel bad. Remember what happened at Columbia University last year? The professor was abusing students in class, and the complaints were quashed and the students forbidden to talk to the papers. Of course, the professor was a Muslim and the students were mostly Jewish....

this man is sick and should be in jail
