Where I've Been, What I've Learned

Sorry for the blogging absence, but I've been kicking slacker butt. It takes great athleticism and concentration to land the blows solidly.

But I've learned several things during this short hiatus. Let's start with Democratic Underground's revelations.
Number one: George W. Bush is the Great Satan. He and his family are responsible for absolutely all the evil in the world, including the Holocaust.
Number two: A 4.6 % unemployment rate is a lie, and George Bush has ruined the lives of millions of Americans.
Number three: George W Bush is persecuting Democratic politiicians by trumping up scandals against them.
Number four: George W. Bush is to blame for the failure of the levees in New Orleans. He caused most of the deaths there.
Number five: George W. Bush is committing economic terrorism in New York City.
Number six: Chavez is wonderful. That's why Bush will kill him.
Finally, and this comes from straight from Democratic Underground:
26. Republicans have one advantage this Fall, and that is this:
They have the Democratic Party as their opponents.
And it's a big advantage.

Oh, Ann Althouse posts an example of what passes for diplomacy in NY these days - a speaker introducing Senator Schumer:
"The man who, how do I phrase this diplomatically, who will put a bullet between the president's eyes if he could get away with it. The toughest senator, the best representative. A great, great member of the Congress of the United States."
