Euro Goes Mark

But seriously, dudes!
Barroso revealed his frustrations with Washington during a wideranging interview in which he also admitted that the euro had acted like a “sleeping pill,” luring some countries to the edge of economic disaster with an “illusion of prosperity.”
Now, where did we see that phrase before?

Comments:
So does that make them a Deutch Mark?

Euro Goes Mark

I read that headline and many images formed in my head. None seemed good!

1. The Mark XII Torpedo was designed during The Great Depression.

2. The 100 Trillion Mark was issued in 1924. At the height of the inflation one U.S. dollar was worth 4 trillion German marks.

3. There are about 423,000 search results for 'economy "misses the mark"'.

4. There's a mark born every minute.

I sighed in relief when I stumbled upon this though.

Urban Dictionary: Mark

the most sexy, erotic, flirtatious, hot stuff, bootylicious 4 letter word you'll ever see. If you spell it backwards, you get kram which according to urban dictionary means smoking weed/ganja/herb; how cool is that! I know you're impressed. If you take the mark out of supermarket, all you're left with is superet and that's pretty stupid cause why would you go out to the superet, it makes no sense. Mark means warlike, especially in bed if ya know what i mean. Its definitely the coolest word/name ever cause if you spell it frontwards and backwards, its different!!!

Hurray! The euro WAS just a sleeping pill luring some countries to the edge of economic disaster with an “illusion of prosperity”.

It was absolutely intoxicating! The three most commonly used drugs for date rape are alcohol and two prescription-strength sleep aids.

Scratch that! The four most commonly used drugs for date rape are alcohol, two prescription-strength sleep aids, and the euro!

The Euro is Still Sexy...

Not all U.S. investors seduced by euro zone rescue

Please excuse my gallows humor. I just can't help myself.

At least Mark has the best google hit for a blog on that term! Way to go!

Mark - I'm glad you picked up on the Mark-as-currency reference.
